Experience Description

This workshop equips professionals with the tools and strategies to cultivate culturally neuro-inclusive environments for neurodivergent individuals.

Participants will explore neurodivergent cultural differences, cultural safety principles, and neurodiversity affirming practices to address cultural exclusion barriers in workplace settings.

Through simulation activities, policy evaluations, and group discussions, participants will learn to identify cultural barriers, implement strategies to mitigate risks, and apply culturally responsive and empathetic communication practices. 

This workshop empowers participants to build culturally safe workplaces by addressing barriers, protecting psychological and cultural safety, and promoting inclusive practices that respect and affirm neurodivergent perspectives.

Learning Outcomes

You will be able to...
  • Recognize neurodivergent cultural differences and common barriers in workplace settings.
  • Demonstrate cultural competence by adapting interpersonal and organizational practices to align with neurodiversity affirming principles.
  • Identify and mitigate psychological and cultural safety risks impacting neurodivergent individuals in workplace interactions and practices.
  • Develop strategies to address neuro-normative cultural biases and cultivate culturally inclusive environments.
  • Exhibit empathetic and inclusive behaviors that promote psychological and cultural safety for neurodivergent individuals.
